I'm excited for the release of my 10th historical romance with HarperCollins. The Last Gamble is the third book in the Bastards of London series and the novels have been very well received. The Last Gamble is Luke's story and releases on August 11th.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
If I had to choose one theme for all my novels it would be determination and endurance. Don't give up. Pursue your dream no matter what obstacles lie in your path.
How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Since I write about Regency England, the events are not similar to modern life, but they are very true and realistic to that period of England's history. I check my facts and research extensively so the reader feels one with the story and the plot is always true to the time era.
Who designed the covers?HarperCollins designs my covers and does a fabulous job. I love every single one. With the Bastards of London series, we've switched to a more historical fiction image rather than the typical couple embracing on the cover. The change has met with a lot of compliments.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Time. I never have enough time. I often joke that I'd like to be dropped on a secluded island with my laptop and coffee. Of course, there must be excellent internet access too.
When and why did you begin writing?
I've always written even while in elementary school at a young age, but I became serious about writing romance novels when the books I read did not portray the heroine as strong and intelligent. All my stories have a heroine who is just as able as the hero.
What book are you reading now?
My tbr list is too long for my own good, but I try to stay with the current bestsellers in all genres to keep myself current.
If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
This is a fun question. Since my heroes are all handsome alpha males, I'd have to choose Chris Hemsworth or Chris Pine.
Do you have a blog/website?
Yes. Readers can find me at www.AnabelleBryant.com as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks so much. Please let me know if you need any other information.
