She's also a decent potter, adventurous cook, and horrible gardener.
Trying to avoid a war between my family and one of the most notorious criminals in Seattle, I'm forced to take a job I have no interest in doing. All I have to do is hack into one of the most protected systems in the whole country, and walk away with the goods.
In the middle of this asinine scheme, the last person I expect to run into is Avery--my biggest regret, and the only woman I've ever loved. But this time, she's on the right side of the law, and the moment she spots me, she knows I'm up to no good.
She wants to bargain--or throw my ass in jail.
I want her naked in my bed, screaming out my name.
And they may call me Scorch for a reason, but this time around, I'll be the one who'll get burned when I put my heart on the line.
When the devil rides in on the wings of revenge.

Naked, bloody and on the run, I can’t even remember my name. I’m a stranger… yet Locke Blackthorn has taken me into his home and is doing all he can to put me back together again. He’s become my savior in a world where I have no one.
But it’s all a lie.
Because I know damn well who the Blackthorns are—and they have my family’s blood on their hands.
I’m here to exact my revenge. Except that I never anticipated that the devil I hate would steal yet one more thing from me—my heart.

What are the chances of me getting kidnapped in a small town in the foothills of Colorado by a man who is the subject of an international manhunt?
I'd say probably the same odds as winning the lottery...several times. Except I wasn't that lucky.
I moved to this tiny town and opened a small diner to find some peace. I used to love staring at those beautiful, majestic, snow-capped mountain peaks. Now all that sight brings me is sorrow and heartache.
Still, I'm here.
I can't leave.
I can't just run away like I wished I could.
Then, on one cold, winter's evening, my entire world changes when a desperate man, one wanted for the rape and murder of a young woman in Seattle, drags me away from my diner and back to a dark place that I never wanted to go again.
My kidnapper calls himself Phoenix. But I know who he really is. He's a cold-blooded murderer who would probably snuff out my life without one bit of remorse.
As I remain his captive, dependent on his mercy, I have to pretend to trust him so I can try to make my escape.
I'm defiant by nature; he wants me to submit.
I hate the way my body reacts to him, craves him, but he considers that a victory.
So one of us is going to lose this battle, and I'm not so certain the winner is going to be me....
I’ve tried damn hard to forget Skylar, but I can’t break the hold she has on me, even if she now belongs to another—even if she hates me, and refuses to see that she’s getting in deep with the sort of trouble any sane person would stay clear of. And I may deserve her wrath, but there’s no way I’m letting her stay with her evil bastard of a boyfriend.
I'll do whatever it takes to make her see reason, to keep her safe--to prove that we're meant to be together. She can come willing, or over my shoulder. It makes no different to me.
Because I’d lay down my life to save her—and it may just come to that.
My life for hers.

Hawke Townsend is haunted by the demons of his past. But when a woman washes up on the shore of the private island he shares with his identical twin, Archer, there’s something about her that finally cuts through his darkness. Yet her presence on the island poses its own set of complications, given Hawke’s reclusive nature, and the fact that very few people realize that the famous artist, Jackson Townsend, is actually two people.
Phoebe Nicholls is running from an abusive ex determined to see her dead—and he nearly gets his wish. After battling a brutal ocean, she awakes to find herself recovering in the bed of a handsome stranger—who’s offered her the lifeline she so desperately needs and the chance to finally stop running. She can stay on the island as long as she’d like, and in exchange, she’ll model for his paintings and be his muse.
The twins have always been close, and are in so many ways one person, with Archer protecting his brother and going out into the world on his behalf. But presenting a single face to the world at large is far easier than keeping up the charade on their own private island with Phoebe on the loose. How long can they keep up their deception once they both start to develop feelings for her? And when Phoebe finds out, will she be able to forgive them?
This can be read as a stand alone novel, and though it's part of The Billionaire's Seduction Series, this is also a prequel to The Blackthorn Brother's Series.

I was at home raising a newborn, and went to write a grocery list, and realized that my brain was turning to mush, and if I didn't do something to keep my brain active, I'd be in big trouble. I loved reading, and decided why not give writing a try. My first few attempts were horrible, but I loved writing, and it quickly became my passion. That was about 13 years ago, and I still absolutely love it, and write every day.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Just that people should be true to who they are and how they feel, and that love will almost always see you through the rough patches in life.
What books have most influenced your life most?
I'd have to say Elizabeth Peters' books had the biggest influence, since it was her Amelia Peabody series that truly hooked me on reading. I even named one of my daughters Amelia after the books.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I've always had stories floating around in my head, but my interest didn't truly become a passion until I actually sat down and started writing.
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Sure! Here's a snippet below from Ryder, a shifter romance I'm currently writing. But if readers want to check out some of my books, I have a few freebies-- Passion, and also Seduction and Surrender, are both free, and then the rest of my books are in Kindle Unlimited. Here's a quick peek at Ryder which will be released in just a few months...
Unable to resist her, I did the thing I’ve wanted to do from the moment I first laid eyes on her. Cupping her face in both my hands, I bent my head to hers and nuzzled her, breathing in her already familiar scent.
Fucking hell… I couldn’t hold back.
I caught her mouth in a teasing kiss that rolled into another and then another, until our tongues were clashing in a heated dance, my head spinning with my need for her. Yet I knew that if I didn’t pull away, there’d be no stopping until I’d ravished her, until the wolf inside me had marked her as mine. And though I managed to stop kissing her, I couldn’t quite let her go.
“I probably shouldn’t have kissed you…” Even if I was ready to do a whole lot more in just a heartbeat.
“And here I was thinking that you probably shouldn’t have stopped, since you’re one hell of a kisser.”
If your book was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
That's a hard one!! So many amazing men to choose from! Jensen Ackles is probably the perfect mix of gorgeous, sexy, rugged, smart and funny. He just makes me smile and swoon.
Do you have a blog/website?
I do!! It's http://calimackay.com
