Nothing false endures forever. Especially not love…
All parents in Aeternae Noctis have lost children to the culling, among them, the herbalist Rafael Varens. Once more, humanity's remnants rise in rebellion against the ruthless rule of the three immortal icrathari and their vampire army. Yet again, they are crushed.
When the icrathari Siri seeks a salve for her chronic pain, she and Rafael strike a bargain. He will cure the poison in her blood if she expands the settlement and frees the children, including his son. Their tentative alliance ushers in unexpected friendship, until it is shattered by the cruelest betrayal.
From the darkness below the earth, an ancient and implacable enemy rises, twisting their pain and turning Rafael and Siri against each other—his first step in the destruction of Aeternae Noctis…

“Die Fabrik (The Factory)” by Charles A. Cornell
In a dieselpunk vision of Nazi Germany, weapons research and genocide become one in a nightmarish, secret factory in this novella.
I started writing at the age of 13--a truly saccharine school essay about a guy and a girl watching the sunset. It was awful, but it sparked a love for writing in me. I love creating worlds, circumstances, disasters, and seeing how my characters interact with each other, and come through in spite of horrific odds against a happy ending.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I think readers get different things out of different books. I write the books I want to read. Recurring themes in my novels include strong women and men, diverse characters, love--within family, between friends, and putting a stake in the ground to persevere against impossible odds. I believe in standing up for what you believe in--and my characters all do that.
What books have most influenced your life most?
Oh, where to begin. A perpetual favorite is Pride and Prejudice. I'm also a huge fan of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series.
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
My newest release is ILLUSIONS, a fantasy-romance of a fae prince and a commoner witch, both trying to save their dying kingdom, in extremely different ways. Reviewers have said, "This is fantasy at its finest."You can read a free three-chapter preview at:https://dl.bookfunnel.com/hwxq68ekd8
What book are you reading now?
Now, I'm reading the HOLLOW. It's book 2 of the Isa Fae Collection (of which ILLUSIONS is book 4.) Each book is a standalone fantasy romance set in the icy, dying world of Isa Fae.
If your book was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
Oh, this is a hard one. Kate Beckinsale for the female witch, Nithya, and Orlando Bloom for the fae prince, Varian.
Do you have a blog/website?
