I love when a book I’ve read by an author I’m not familiar with turns out to be a great one, and Bentley is definitely one of those. Opposites attract in this billionaire romance when an unexpected trip to, and inside of, a coffee shop brings Bentley and Emmy together. I liked both main characters, as well as the secondary characters, immediately. Bentley is very rich, formal, refined, structured, and dedicated to his business and his only two close friends – Aiden, bodyguard and head of security, and Maddox, who handles the finances for their company, BAM. Emmy is a baker at the coffee shop, who has been putting herself through design school, and is the complete opposite of Bentley in all ways, but she charmed him with her boldness, directness, laughter, and delicious scones. This story has everything you could want – humor, mystery, intrigue, loyalty, danger, and passion and is about learning to trust and letting go of the past. I enjoyed this story so much, that I pre-ordered book 2, Aiden, and will definitely pre-order book 3, Maddox, when the time comes.
~~~~~~
Three young men meet in university and form a lifelong friendship.
Their pasts dictate the men they are, but their present shapes their future.
What happens when these men meet the one person they are destined to be with? Can they fight their feelings and walk away? Or will they each succumb and learn the sweet agony of love?
Bentley
The leader of the group. He is uptight, formal, and cold. Rigid and set in his ways, always following the same path. Until the day, he stumbles upon her.
Emmy.
She brings with her spontaneity and light. The world she lives in is so different from his, yet he cannot control the draw to her. Nor can he explain the way she makes him feel.
Happy.
Protective.
Loved.
