Right Text Wrong Number
High school juniors, Layla and Tyler, are complete opposites. Sure she’s a cheerleader and he’s a football player, but she thinks he’s the biggest jerk in the school and he thinks she is too high on her horse to even be worth of a second glance from him. And when the two of them are near one another, sparks fly in all the wrong directions. They are NOT interested in speaking to one another, let alone date.
But when Layla unknowingly sends Tyler a smack-down text meant for the girl sending naked photos to her then-boyfriend, Adam, Tyler has no idea it’s Layla and decides to play along. After all, Tyler cannot resist messing with the pissed off girl firing off texts about junk pictures, cheating, and girl code.
As the fallout from Adam’s sexting scandal plays out in front of the entire school, Tyler and Layla secretly continue to text one another using fake names. But as days and weeks pass, things take a turn for the serious between them, and suddenly, their texts mean more. They both begin to consider revealing their true identity to the other and taking the relationship from texts to dates, then kissing and maybe more.
They say there's a thin line between love and hate. Can reality live up to the fantasy, or will Layla and Tyler be forever offsides?

Bryce Matthews doesn’t do the whole nice boyfriend thing. Chocolates and flowers—girls can forget all that. And he certainly doesn’t care about the gossip and rumors that follow him at school and around town. If anything, the talk amuses him. Bryce isn't lacking in confidence. He knows himself and he knows his limits.
One of those hard limits is Madison Issac. Bryce can never have her, and he's perfectly fine with that. Sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality anyway.
Madison Issac thought she was a pretty good judge of character. But she's surprised at how gentle and comforting resident bad-boy and next-door neighbor Bryce Matthews is when we finds her crying in the park.

With hearts and reputations on the line, this kind of love can be scandalous.

Well, I’m currently writing the second book in the Offsides series which will be Juliet and Jared’s story. Readers meet them in RIGHT TEXT WRONG NUMBER. I’m also getting ready for my vacation happening this summer. Whoop whoop. That’s always exciting stuff. My other exciting news is attending some conferences in the fall, including IRC.
Do you have a specific writing style?
Yes. I LOVE 1stPOV and in present tense. I also LOVE duel POV’s. Because as a reader I enjoy getting into not only the main character’s mind but if there was a love interest I want to be in their mind to. What are they thinking? What are they feeling? I need that. So when I’m writing I like to give that to readers and fans of books. I also like my characters to be sassy or a little rude but redeemable.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I had a passion for poetry from 4th grade until middle school, but not really-full-blown-story-telling until 8th grade. We had an assignment where we had to write a spooky Halloween story. I wrote one about a masked raven who terrorized trick or treaters. I didn’t try my hat at writing a story again though until college. My professor scowled at me when he asked what I was majoring in, which was Math. He thought I had more potential in writing. Turns out he was right.
Who designs the covers?
Well, if I self-publish a novel, that would be my awesome husband. If my books are with the small press, which most of them are, they have a team of designers working on covers.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Yes. In every novel, I write mostly it’s “don’t judge people by their cover story” meaning get to know them first before you immediately conclude you don’t like them. Lots of people are misjudged because of maybe their skin color, religion, parents, rumors, and most of all because someone else doesn’t like them (maybe a friend, family member). Rarely though, does that person get the other’s honest opinion of them. I believe though if you give everyone a chance, I’m not saying you have to friend everyone. You can be cautious about it, but at least let them have the chance. Don’t immediately shun them.
If any of your books were made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
Great question. Well I love Miles Teller for any male leads. I love Emma Watson for any female leads.
Do you have a blog/website?
I have both.
