A recovering gambler
Hard-living biker Clint Remmick is fiercely loyal to the boys of the Demon Horde motorcycle club. He’s worked hard to redeem himself, and there’s no risk he won’t take to help his brothers, even when rivals threaten their safety. When his grandmother’s health takes a turn for the worse, though, he moves out of the clubhouse to take care of her. With his duties for the MC, he knows he can’t do it alone, so he hires Jo, a live-in nurse.
He didn’t expect her to heal him, as well.
A dedicated nurse
Jo Smith enjoys working for sweet old Anne Remmick, and she’s especially intrigued by her tattooed bad-boy grandson. Clint’s tough exterior scares her a little, but she feels a pull toward the sexy biker. Soon she’s dying to close the distance between them.
A losing bet
When Clint and his brothers have to pull a dangerous job in Reno, Jo is the perfect cover. With enemies around every corner, Clint needs to focus on keeping her safe—not the lust simmering between them. But when Clint is trapped by a rival club, Jo will have to save him…and their relationship.

When she walks into her interview and sees Clint and his grandmother Anne, Jo is not sure what to think. Anne is sweet and polite but Clint tattoos and biker vest make her nervous. This is a 3.75 star book for me. I have really mixed reviews. On one hand i enjoyed the overall story line. Bad a** biker with past meets strong woman who struggles with her past and some insecurities. The two want each other but are nervous about stepping over that professional line. Jo has a lot more reservations than Clint. She is finishing up nursing school and needs the live in job until she graduates at least. So if things go south with Clint she is scared of ending up not only jobless, but homeless. Clint was some things in the works for his club and doesn't want any distractions, especially with him trying to stay on the straight and narrow.
The mixed feelings come in with how the story is written. Like I said the over all story line is fine, there are just some flaws in the execution is my opinion. There are some things that missed the mark. Also the story dragged a little. Jo is mixed and has faced some prejudice because of this. She is very reluctant to be around Clint initially. She goes in his house alone, but refuses to get in the truck with him until she has proof he isn't in a racist club. But by the end of the book she is walking into what she knows is a situation wear she is not welcomed. Clint thinks he will relapse and acts like a total jerk because of this. There were things that could have wrapped up a little quicker and made this book a little more enjoyable.
The couple does get a HEA. I'm not sure if this book is something I would recommend, but it would not hurt to read.
