Though Victoria is a “shopgirl” and certainly not a member of the ton, she is the most beguilingly beautiful and spirited young woman Patrick has ever met. My Bridgewater Brides series of Historical Romances is released this summer! Book 1, The Heir’s Treasure, is out now with The Viscount’s Vixen and The Earl’s Beauty following in July and August respectively.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Love is possible. It’s the greatest force in this world and can help you overcome just about anything. My characters face conflicts from within and without, in both my Contemporaries and Historicals. Familial love and romantic love can heal.
How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Sadly very little, lol. No grand estates or dashing gentlemen, but the love? That’s something I have for sure. There are quite a few more parallels between my real life and the Contemporary Romantic Comedies in my Cypress Corners series.
Who designed the covers?
I’m proud to say I created my own covers for this series.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Hmm. Sometime finding the time to write can be a challenge. Switching from my Contemporary series to Historicals keeps me on my toes too, but I find more formal writing creeping into my Cypress Corners books rather than having one of my Regency ladies using a cell phone, lol!
When and why did you begin writing?
I’ve always written, but when my youngest daughter went to school full time I started writing toward publication.
What book are you reading now?
I read two to three books per week, usually Contemporary Romance.
If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
I actually have inspiration boards for all of my books on Pinterest with dream casting! Here’s the link to The Heir’s Treasure board: https://www.pinterest.com/jomariedegioia/the-heirs-treasure/ Daniel Sharman would make a wonderful Philip, and Dianna Agron would be a sweet and beautiful Maggie!
Do you have a blog/website?
Yes! www.jomariedegioia.com
