Currently, her list of published works are, That Kiss, its sequel, That Promise, I Will Catch You, Tracing Hearts, When Love Breaks, and its sequel, When Love Walks!
Blurb: “My arms find their way around her, as I hold on for dear life.”
In their continuing story, Logan and Elora’s relationship is tested, yet again, in the much-anticipated sequel to When Love Breaks.
Elora has never thought of Logan’s physical disability as a problem. She’s been nothing but supportive and has always tried to reassure him that she loves him just the way he is. So, when his attitude toward her begins to change, she can't help but rethink her role in his life.
After getting a job as a nurse at a local hospital, she meets a handsome doctor, who seems very fond of her. When Logan’s interpretation of her coworker’s affections is opposite of hers, a rift is formed between them, and their strong connection begins to crumble.
Logan, who is beginning his career as a Physical Therapist, struggles with his insecurities, and a panic sets in when he realizes another man could easily lure away the love of his life. As self-doubt replaces reason, he tries everything he can think of in his attempt to hold onto her, but will it be enough? Add in several other obstacles, and you have a recipe for the perfect storm.
Can their love survive this ultimate test? Can Logan get past his fears enough to let her love him? Will Elora be able to overlook his seemingly unjustified jealousy, or will love really walk away for good?
Teaser: “I don’t want to leave you alone on your very first official night here,” I say, wrapping one arm around her shoulders, then kissing her temple.
“Logan, we’ll have plenty of nights to be together here. I wouldn’t want you to give up your guys’ night out for me.”
“I’m not exactly giving it up. I’m not sure I even want to go.”
“Yeah. He wants to unpack boxes with you,” Michael says, putting air quotes around the words unpack and boxes.
I shoot him a death stare, but hear Elora snicker.
“Look, it’s fine with me either way. If you want to go have fun with your brother, go ahead. I’ll just be sitting around here trying to figure out which drawer to put my panties in.” She smirks, then winks. I abruptly turn to Michael.
“I’m out. If you need me, I’ll be helping Elora with her panties,” I say, grinning like a loon. Michael rolls his eyes and smiles.
“I can’t say I blame you.”
Blurb: From the author who brought you That Kiss, That Promise, I Will Catch You, and Tracing Hearts, comes another tale of love and loss.
Elora Foster and Logan Turner never met, until the day she showed up on his doorstep. After a simple, chance encounter, the two embark on a journey that will change both their lives forever.
With good intentions and a heart of gold, Elora has aspirations of being a nurse. But, when she’s hired to take care of Logan, a double amputee, she’s instantly put off by his grouchy demeanor and bad attitude. She’s not sure if taking this job was the right move, or the worst decision of her life.
Logan, who was recently released from the hospital, has no intention of letting anyone take care of him. He’s sure there’s nothing that could change his hopeless situation, so he resigns himself to his fate. When he meets Elora, instant friction begins, but soon, he realizes there's something different about her. Try as he might to behave himself, he finds that his negative attitude upsets her frequently—and to his surprise, it bothers him.
As time moves on, the two become more acquainted, and strong feelings begin to grow, but a road block threatens to derail any relationship that might develop. Just when they think they’ve found a way around it, their lives take a turn for the worse, and they're both faced with a gut wrenching decision which has the potential to tear them apart.
Can she save this lost soul? Can he get over the past enough to see she’s the one? Can they work through the worst problem they’ve ever known, or will the strain be too much?
Teaser #1: “You…um…surprised me,” I mutter, looking at the floor and covering my cheeks. “I’ll just get the broom and clean up the mess.” I don’t even bother looking into the closet when I reach in and grasp the first pole-like object I feel. “I’ll be right back…I mean, not right back. I’m going to go and get your nuts—I mean the peanuts…that I spilled…in the kitchen…while you were showering. Not that I was thinking about you showering. I just…” I exhale.
Yeah. Smooth.
Teaser #2: “You cared, and you challenged me. You pushed me to want more for myself. You gave me a reason to fight for my life. And, that’s when I felt it—hope. I felt it instantly—the minute you walked in, and it scared the shit out of me.”
My 6th book, When Love Walks is officially live today! I’m very excited to release it!
I’m also working on a new one. It doesn’t have a title yet, but I’m in love with it so far, and I hope my fans will be too. I’m hoping to have it out later this year.
Do you have a specific writing style?
My writing style is very casual. I've read some really great authors and the one thing I noticed about them is that they write about real life. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good millionaire story too, but my books make you believe that you're in the story. I write in such a way that you feel as though you’re in the room with my characters.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
I’ve always been told that I am good at writing. I started reading romance a few years ago, and fell in love. I started (and finished) writing my first book on my iPhone 4s. Six books later, I can't seem to stop.
Who designed the covers?
Amygdala Designs is who makes my awesome covers! Ida is a genius! I give her a concept, or a couple pictures, and she makes the magic happen.
If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
I guess that would depend on the book. I love Scott Eastwood, so I think I’ll go with him. ❤ 😉
Do you have a blog/website?
My website, which contains all the information you ever wanted to know about me and my books, is www.KateSquiresAuthor.com There you can find book trailers, teasers, synopsis’, and the first full chapters of all my books. You can also see any events I might be attending.
