Joellen is a woman with low self-esteem who works at a publishing company and has learned how to go unnoticed for years. With her mother always putting her down and her sister, the beauty queen, making her feel insignificant for years, Joellen has come to realize she will probably live a lonely life. The problem is she is in love with her "perfect" boss, but knows an overweight, over thirty-five, anti-social female as herself could never possibly catch the attention of Michael Maddox, let alone keep it. After a long day at work were she is given and assignment to complete over the weekend she comes home to her neighbor blasting music and clearly having a party. When she goes to knock on the door however, the sexy Scottish male in front of her definitely is not her neighbor.
Cameron switched apartments with his cousin to get away from all the media attention and unhappiness in his life. The moment he opens the door and sees Joellen standing there, he wants her. Unfortunately, she is in love with someone else. Cameron decides to help Joellen get the man she loves, while hoping she realizes he is the one for her. Cameron had a rough past and even with the money and fame things have not gotten better. This may be his chance at happiness.
I loved every minute of this story. Joellen seemed quirky but shy and a pushover. However whenever Cameron came around the fierceness she kept hidden came out. They semmed to get each other even when they were frustrated. Cameron helping Joellen become a strong confident women was so moving. This book made me laugh, swoon and hot. It was captivating and made me want to fall in love.
This is a must read with a HEA.
