(Her lack of rhythm and artistic ability may put a damper on both of these dreams.)

At seventeen, music legend Dylan McAthie ran away from his Alabama home to chase his dreams. Years later, he’s forced to return—coming full circle to escape the nightmare his life has become. Hounded by paparazzi and plagued by the aftermath of personal and professional loss, Dylan craves some quiet anonymity so he can regroup and sort out what lies ahead.
Hired by his estranged brother, Jennifer Adams knows exactly who Dylan is. She grew up next door to his family and has followed his career. But the surly, overbearing man she’s caring for as a private-duty nurse is far from the charming boy she remembers. Nevertheless, she’s determined to be professional, do a good job—and not fail at her first time getting away from home.
As her patient heals, his demeanor softens, and their interactions grow less antagonistic. Soon their chemistry is undeniable—and inappropriate—leaving the inexperienced Jennifer thoroughly confused. Adding to the turmoil, scandal finds Dylan once again, threatening all the progress he’s made and putting Jennifer at risk as collateral damage.
It’s up to Dylan to fix what his fame has so easily broken and find a way to move forward with his life. But will his resurrection mean the death of any relationship with Jennifer?

Loving Lili is a paranormal romance (angels) and will be released in August as part of an anthology, Haunted By Love. I'm very excited about this for two reasons. This was the story my readers begged me for. Luc was in Tempting Jo. And all proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes, a charity dear to my heart. Also in August, I am starting work on The Redemption of Emma Devine, book two in my contemporary Pine Bluff Novels.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I like to think that my books offer hope for people that may not be at a good place in their lives. And self-acceptance.
How much of the book is realistic and are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
I work in the field of addiction as a nurse/counselor. So some of the desperation some of my characters have faced I've seen in my practice, but no, these are made up folks. Although, Jo's brother in Tempting Jo is a lot like my husband.
Who designed the covers?
Saving Evangeline was through my publisher, Tempting Jo was designed by Coreen Montagna and The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie was designed by Shannon Lumetta.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Finding the time! I work full time. And I'm a "pantser" which means I don't plot my books. This is great at times, but some times I write myself into a corner.
When and why did you begin writing?
I was a stay at home mom many years ago and my husband worked evening shift, so after my daughter was asleep, I'd write. I've written stories since I was a kid. The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie is actually the first book I ever completed. It sat in a box under my bed with the dust dinosaurs for twenty or so years. Needless to say, it needed a LOT of updating!
What book are you reading now?
I'm doing research into the Appalachia Mountain area and their superstitions.
If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
Hmmm. The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie, I always pictured Dylan as Jared Leto. But he may be getting a tad old for the part (although he doesn't look his age!) Hannah James would be perfect as Jennifer. You can see story boards for my books here: https://www.pinterest.com/nanceecain/
