I am a southern girl living on top of a mountain in North Georgia, and I’m most happy when surrounded by family and friends. If I am not writing, you can find me hiking with my husband, or fiddling around in my flower and vegetable gardens, feeding the birds and watching black bears and deer. I am blessed to have a wonderful son—my pride and joy, my buddy who, along with my husband, have made my life complete.

Thank you for having me and giving me a chance to tell you about my latest book!
Elise Trissel designs all my book covers. I love her suggestions, and she is so easy to work with! I think she did an excellent job capturing what I wanted.
How did you come up with the title?
The Turnberry Legacy Series is based on a bond that was entered into by Scottish and Irish nobles in 1286. In my series, Robert the Bruce is vying for the Scottish throne and requests that his most trusted men resurrect the bond, uniting the band once again to help him in his rise to power. Set in 1301, To Support A King is the first book in this series. This story sets up the premise of the series to support a would-be king, Robert the Bruce.
What books have most influenced your life most?
Kathleen Woodiwiss introduced me to historical romance when I was a young teenager. I have been hooked ever since. The Flame and the Flower, The Wolf and the Dove, and Ashes in the Wind will always hold a special place in my heart.
Do you remember the first book you read?
When I was a young girl, I used to love any book related to horses. Black Beauty, My Friend Flicka, National Velvet, and The Black Stallion were some of my favorites.
If any of your books was made into a film who would you like to play the lead?
Funny you should ask! Before I write, I spend time getting to know my characters. Part of that process is finding someone who looks similar to how I picture the character.
This is Joe Manganiello. He “fits” my main character, Laird Mangus MacAndrew.
