Lonely. Alone. By herself.
The top three ways Misty had to describe herself—and it was no coincidence they all meant the same thing. She was single, almost pathetically so. It had been so long since she’d been with a man, she wasn’t sure she could even remember what it was like. But then she crashed into Chance—literally crashed—into the gorgeous man’s SUV, totaling it, and managing to cause damage to her brother’s house, all in one fell swoop. It was a total clusterf*@k. Because then the man ended up totaling her heart.
Misty is a small business owner who has watched several people close to her find love an happiness. While she is is happy for them, part of her is jealous because she feel both lonely and alone. After attempting to flee a party at her brothers house she crashes into Chance her brother in law. There is an instant attraction, but she is embarrassed because of the accident. Chance asks her out, but Misty refuses because of the family connection. She does not want things to become awkward if things do not work out between them.
Chance is a for FBI agent and certified bachelor. He believe in fun and friendships. He sleeps with women, has fun with them but always leaves them as friends. His life does not leave rom for anything else. After Misty runs into his truck he can help but want to have fun with her. But after their first date he knew things with Misty would be different. She makes him want something he never wanted before.
This was a good book. The other pulled you into the story immediately. There was an instant connect between Chance and Misty that made you want to see them both happy. There were some misunderstandings and some unexpected events. But they were able to communicate and work through them. The only reason this didn't get five stars from me is all of the side notes or comments in parentheses. Many of the did no feel like they added to the story and some work long enough that they could have been just added to story. I found myself wanting to skip over them.
Overall the book was a good read and had an HEA. This book can be read as a stand a lone but I will go back ad read the others. I cant wait for Carter and Maggie's story.

Hell, dust might float out if she took off her pants in the presence of the opposite sex.
She was also well aware that she was lucky to have a place to live, a great brother, and awesome friends. She should just be content.
But then she crashed into Chance—literally crashed—into the gorgeous man’s SUV, totaling it, and managing to cause damage to her brother’s house, all in one fell swoop.
